Jennifer Mixson, APRN, MSN, FNP-C, was born in Austin, but has lived in central Texas the majority of her life. She has over 8 years of nursing experience and has been practicing over a year in aesthetic nursing. Jennifer started out as a Red Raider at Texas Tech University in which she received a bachelor’s degree in health education. She then went on to achieve her nursing goals and dreams where she started from the ground up. She started with her Associate’s degree in nursing through Temple College and completed her first milestone in 2012. She then wanted to further her education and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Nursing degree from University of Texas at Arlington in 2013. Her last hurdle was completed in 2019 whenever she graduated with a Master’s of Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington and was recognized as a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Jennifer started her nursing journey into women’s health and ultimately found herself as a labor and delivery nurse for the past six years. Even while working as an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner, she could still be found helping expectant mothers with their deliveries on the weekend at a midwifery practice. Over the past year as an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner, Jennifer has received multiple training in aesthetics and was given the opportunity to attend Aesthetic Next in 2019 in which she learned the famous “Julie Horne Technique” for lips. She has learned a lot since practicing in aesthetics and really loves to help the patient have the best experiences and outcomes. Jennifer started her aesthetic journey by practicing in a MedSpa where she specialized in cosmetic injections, anti-aging treatments, and vitamin injections. Her most favorite areas to inject include a combination of jawline, chin, and lips. She believes that those areas can truly provide the “wow” factor while also providing a subtle change that the patients truly love. She works hard to provide each patient with the best care that they deserve and is excited to talk about all of your aesthetic needs.
Jennifer is thrilled to be a part of the Snyder Plastic Surgery team. She will primarily be practicing at the Round Rock office where she will offer a variety of services and treatments, including:
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her three young children, watching movies with her husband, and playing with her Sheltie and Golden Retriever. During quarantine she also welcomed a new kitten named Max who has definitely been keeping her busy and her young family entertained.

I am so pleased with my results. - Dr. Ned Snyder and his team are exceptional! I am so happy with my results. I am 61 years old and 2 weeks post breast lift surgery. Dr. Snyder listened to me and I have the results that I wanted. Everyone in the office is so professional and kind. I was 38 when I had my first consultation with Jennifer Mixson. I was happy with my appearance but absolutely terrified of aging having spent my whole life in the Florida Sun. I told her my concerns and she came up with a plan to rebuild collagen and prevent aging, atleast to hold it off. My only fear, which I explained to her, was that I needed to remain natural looking bc I’m always on stream or in front of a camera. I didn’t want to have any drastic changes. We started with Sculptra, two procedures, where she implanted collagen under my skin to grow on its own. Next she focused on the outside; two procedures of micro needling to build collagen on the top layer! I can not explain how grateful I am and how much my confidence has changed. I don’t avoid eye contact any more and I don’t have the same self doubt that I did before. My skin looks five years younger.

I made an appointment to address my concerns about aging and see what my options. I was brought back by Callie right at my aptmt time where she proceeded to ask me questions. She asked what my concerns were then about my lifestyle and skin care regimen. After the short interview Callie left the room and Nurse Practioner Jennifer returned already informed about everything! She knew I was nervous so she took the wheel and was able to describe to me a plan that would work for me. I was originally referred to the center by a friend for micro fillers, NP Jennifer told me that a more lasting and better approach (for me) to build collagen back would be Sculptra. She explained she was more interested in better skin health and assured me this would prolong the aging. I had the procedure done the following week and have had a follow up since. I highly recommend the Callie/Jennifer team at Plastic Surgery Center of Round Rock, they're patient and extremely communicative through every step of the way which is great for newbies like myself. I had a few followers that wanted to watch the procedure and ask questions and NP Jenn was kind enough to let me stream and record it live. She literally explained step by step the procedures to hundreds of viewers without hesitation. I can't say enough, this team knows their stuff.
